We have had to make a lot of tough decisions this week. First up we have had to cancel our planned Try a Sportive events for 2015. We understand that this will have come as big disappointment to those that had entered. Extremely low pre entries numbers meant we really didn’t have another option. We sincerely apologise to the few that were looking forward to the events.
Following on from this we have had to shake up our sportive calendar even more due to route clashes and venue double bookings in reference to the Buxton Spa and Tommo Sportive.
Earlier this year we had been made aware of significant route clashes with another sportive and the Buxton Spa that is taking place on 5th of July. Despite having our event on the calendar first the organisers of the ‘other’ sportive didn’t respond to our contact and have not altered their route to avoid the clash.
We have now recently found our that Carsington Water is being used as a feed-station for a long distance ride from Manchester to London on 6th of September, the same day as the Tommo.
So we have come to the decision that the best course of action is to run the Buxton Spa event on the weekend of 6th September and cancel this years Tommo. All pre entered riders have been informed of the changes and we apologise for any inconvenience caused
